Where the money comes from, and where it goes.

People who reach out pay nothing. That means donors, grant-makers and sponsors carry the whole cost — and deserve to see exactly how it’s used.

Still Standing Recovery is applying to the IRS for recognition as a 501(c)(3) public charity. If granted, it takes effect from our date of incorporation, and gifts made now become tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How we’re funded

Free to everyone means someone else pays.

  • Individual donors

People who believe help shouldn’t wait for rock bottom. The first money in.

  • Foundations and grants

Funding free access for a working population that falls through every other net.

  • Employers and unions

Sponsors who fund free, confidential access for their people — and never learn who reaches out.

  • Government

Later, once our outcomes can speak for themselves.

Financials

Every dollar, published.

We’ll post our budget, our annual IRS filing (Form 990), and a plain-English breakdown of spending here as soon as our first year closes.

What we measure

Three numbers every funder asks for.

We report them in aggregate only. No one we help is ever identified.

  1. 1

    Reached

People who made contact and talked to a coach.

  2. 2

    Got into care

People connected to care that fits their life and coverage.

  3. 3

    Still in care, still working

At 90 days: still engaged, still employed.

Governance

Still Standing is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Directors serve without pay, adopt a conflict-of-interest policy, and review finances at least quarterly.

Related parties

Some people want more than a coach — a dedicated companion, someone on call around the clock. That’s a different, paid service we don’t offer. One of our founders also operates a private, fee-based recovery companion service, Global Recovery & Wellness. If someone asks about that kind of help, we tell them about the relationship up front; it is always their choice, it never changes the free help they get from us, and any use of our resources by that company is paid for at fair value and documented. Until our own payment account opens, online gifts are processed through Global Recovery & Wellness’s Stripe account and passed on to Still Standing Recovery.

Privacy

We never share information about the people we help with funders, sponsors or anyone else. See our privacy page.
